Directive 05 - Cuba Deployment

I. Situation

A. Enemy Forces

  • Infantry & Motorized:
    • Main force consists of mixed infantry companies equipped with mixed Russian-Western small arms (AKMs, FN FALs, PKM machine guns, and RPG-7s).
    • Approximately 60-90 personnel onboard the MSC Blue Jay.
    • Possible use of light Boats for patrols, convoy escort, and rapid response missions.
  • Mechanized & Armor:
    • N/A
  • Artillery & Fire Support:
    • N/A
  • Aerial Assets:
    • Fixed-Wing: N/A
    • Rotary-Wing: Limited Mi-8/17 transport helicopters.
    • Limited ISR capability via light prop aircraft and commercial drones.

B. Friendly Forces

  • Their Mission & Intent:
    On directive from the White House under President Donald J. Trump, United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) in coordination with the U.S. Navy is tasked to conduct decisive operations against the Cuban government. The mission is to dismantle hostile regime structures through sustained long-range precision fires and naval artillery strikes on critical positions across the island. Concurrently, U.S. forces will provide direct support to the Cuban Liberation Army, enabling them to assume governance and reconstruction under Western-aligned influence. The end state is the neutralization of the Cuban regime, establishment of a pro-Western provisional authority, and the securing of long-term U.S. strategic interests in the region.
  • Identified Friendly Forces in AO:
    • US SOCOM elements including Navy SEALs, Army Special Forces (Green Berets), and Marine Raiders.
    • US Navy surface combatants and submarines providing naval gunfire support and maritime security.
    • USS Iwo Jima (LHD-7) Amphibious Assault Ship with embarked Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU).
    • USS Trump (CG-XX) Guided-Missile Cruiser providing air defense and surface strike capabilities.
    • USS Hydra (SSN-XX) Attack Submarine conducting covert reconnaissance and special operations support.
    • USS Liberty (FFG-XX) Frigate providing escort and patrol duties.
    • USS Freight (DDG-XX) Destroyer offering multi-mission capabilities including anti-air, anti-surface, and anti-submarine warfare.
    • USS Burke (DDG-XX) Destroyer providing additional surface combat capabilities.
    • USS Barbaros (DDG-XX) Destroyer enhancing fleet air defense and strike options.

II. Probable Mission and Execution (WWH)

ION Services has been contracted by the CIA to conduct a military operation in Cuba, specifically targeting the Cuban Army and its leadership. The operation is part of a broader effort to destabilize the regime and support local insurgent groups.
  • Who:
    • Elements of ION Zeus and attached ISR/EW & LSS support elements.
    • US SOCOM element designed TASK FORCE GRAY.
  • What:
    OBJ BOAT - Onboard and clear the MSC Blue Jay of hostile forces to enable further tasking.
    OBJ ZULU - Locate, rescue and extract any hostages held on MSC Blue Jay before commencement of OBJ DUST.
    OBJ GHOST - Locate a sand colored container on MSC Blue Jay and inform HQ of its location.
    OBJ DUST - Locate and defuse the bomb threat on MSC Blue Jay.
  • How:

    1. Insertion via Airlift & Light Boats
    • Boats will be launched and maneuver to OBJ BOAT.
    • If needed they will be airlifted via to Linkup Point CHIMERA.
    • If required AIR ONE will assist in fast roping elements onto the MSC Blue Jay.
    • From there, forces will conduct a maritime boarding operation on the MSC Blue Jay.
    • AIR ONE will provide overwatch and close air support.

    2. Linkup and Movement
    • Onboard the MSC Blue Jay, clear hostile forces and secure the vessel.
    • Locate the sand colored container and inform HQ of its location.
    • Locate and rescue any hostages on the vessel.

    3. Commence Bomb Defusal
    • Locate and defuse the bomb threat on the MSC Blue Jay.
    • Once the bomb is defused, prepare for extraction.
