Training Directive 01 - LF Exercise ZELLOX
I. Situation
A. Enemy Forces
- Infantry & Motorized:
- Main force consists of a reinforced infantry battalion with late soviet-era weapons and equipment.
- Approximately 50-60 personnel operating from fortified positions within urban and entrenched terrain.
- BDRM, T-55 and GAZ used for static defense.
- Mechanized & Armor:
- EF maintains limited mechanized capability, primarily consisting of armored technicals and APCs.
- EF does not have any fully functional armored capability in the AO.

II. Mission Tasking Order and Execution
Phase 1
1st Section is to be airlifted by CALLSIGN AIR-1 to Drop Zone LOST via fixed-wing/helicopter transport. Upon arrival, the section will conduct a combat parachute insertion onto the DZ.
- Upon successful drop, personnel will consolidate and reorganize at the DZ.
- Section will then proceed via mounted movement along Main Supply Route (MSR) DUCK to designated dismount point.
Phase 2
On dismount, Section will advance to Objective ANVIL, conduct a deliberate assault to clear enemy forces, and secure all structures within the objective area.
Phase 3
Upon securing OBJ ANVIL, Section will conduct bounding movement toward Objective STONE. Mission tasks at OBJ STONE include:
- Clearing and securing buildings,
- Neutralizing hostile elements,
- Locating and securing hostages.
Phase 4
Once OBJ STONE is secure, Section is to establish a temporary Drop Zone for potential logistics/resupply operations. After rearming and resupply (if required), Section will maneuver toward Extraction Point ORION, establish a perimeter, and secure the DZ in preparation for exfiltration.

OBJ STONE - Clear and secure buildings, neutralize hostile elements, locate and secure hostages. - Where:
Primary AO located near Kamino Firing Range, with end operations point at ION HQ. - Why:
To conduct a live-fire exercise simulating a hostage rescue operation in an urban environment, testing combat readiness, coordination, and tactical execution under realistic conditions.

- AUTHORISED TO ENGAGE PID TARGETS.
- BUILDINGS SUSPECTED OF HAVING INSURGENTS MAY BE ENTERED.
- MOVEMENT THROUGH FIELDS ALLOWED.*

- CAS IS LIMITED TO ROCKETS & GUNS IN RURAL AREAS.
III. Map & Intelligence
A. Intelligence Summary
EF are expected to be have well cover and concealment in the urban areas, with possible fortified positions. The exercise will require coordination with ISR and fire support assets to minimize collateral damage. ION Air Command will provide fire support and ISR capabilities to assist in the exercise. EF are expected to be equipped with light vehicles, small arms, and no functional armor capabilities. The bulk of the EF are expected to be concentrated in the primary buildings.
